LGMS Risk Excellence Award Winners - Balonne Shire Council

Congratulations to Balonne Shire Council on their win. They have been awarded a Local Government Mutual Services (LGMS) Risk Excellence Award at the Local Government Association of Queensland Annual Conference held in Mackay.

Balonne have made significant improvements to their Enterprise Risk Management framework. This provides a comprehensive pathway for assessing where their organisation is at in terms of enterprise risk management and identifying improvement areas for further development. These improvements will provide further consistency, transparency in decision making and lead to increased organisational performance. The award was accepted by Mayor Samantha O'Toole and CEO Matthew Magin.
