Royal Life Saving Australia releases new inland water safety guidelines

Royal Life Saving Australia released new national guidelines for inland water safety on 10 July 2024.

The guidelines are intended to provide a framework that can be adapted by land and water managers to reduce the risk of drowning and aquatic injury at inland waterways.

The guidelines include materials and information to support for decision making about risk mitigation including public rescue equipment, safety signage, designated swimming areas, and community education.
