How do you apply a project-based approach to addressing a WHS hazard?

The recent upgrade of the Granite Creek sewage pump station by Mareeba Shire Council provides a good example. With the existing sewage pump station infrastructure—consisting of a dry well and wet well configuration— ageing, under capacity and inadequate in achieving current work health and safety standards for servicing and maintenance, the project focused on reducing confined space entry and improving other operational requirements.
