Introducing new WHS team member

LGMS is pleased to introduce LGW Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team’s new Safety Consultant, Julian Soler.

Julian joined the team in April and will be providing health and safety support and advice to Queensland local government scheme members, and offer further support to the LGW Mutual Risk Obligations.

Julian has been allocated 15 councils from South Burnett Regional Council to Hinchinbrook Shire Council, and out west to Flinders Shire Council. He looks forward to spending some time with each of you to understand your council, how it works, and the strengths and challenges you face.

Julian joins LGW with an extensive career in risk and safety, with a background in operational WHS across several industries. Julian has also spent time working with the regulator, Australian Maritime Safety Authority.

Julian resides in the Brisbane bayside suburb of Wynnum with a young family and enjoys all the water activities available to him in the area.
