Western Qld Alliance of Councils Assembly 2022

LGMS were proud sponsors of the Western Queensland Alliance of Councils Assembly event held in Charleville from 9-11 March. LGMS Regional Risk Coordinator David Munro and Aileen McNeil, Account Manager - FNQ - LGM Assets attended the event and enjoyed interacting with members and discussing the value that LGMS can bring to their councils.

Our new board member and CEO of LGAQ Alison Smith addressed the audience and spoke about why the mutuals were established and shared a risk story from Murweh Shire Council. She talked about LGMS’ Regional Risk Coordinator for the south-west, David Munro, and how he had worked with Murweh to identify risk causes, consequences, and to put control mechanisms in place.

The theme of the event was 'Out West Where the Stars are Brightest' and they welcomed 205 delegates, sponsors and industry participants at the Charleville Town Hall.
