Annual LGMS Risk Excellence Awards

At the recent LGAQ Conference, Ian Leckenby (LGMS Chairman) and Mayor Rachel Chambers (Mayor of North Burnett Regional Council and LGMS Board Member) presented the awards to the winners of the Annual LGMS Risk Excellence Awards.

These awards are in recognition of members that have achieved excellent improvement in risk management. The 2019/20 winners are:

Lockyer Valley Regional Council - significant improvements to enterprise risk management framework.

Burdekin Shire Council - Enterprise Risk Management Improvement Project.

Fraser Coast Regional Council - Learning and Organisational Development Program. The program identifies and progresses learning opportunities for Council employees including leadership development and upskilling.

Central Highlands Regional Council - 'The Game Plan' was a strategic approach to guide organised sport and recreation towards a long term sustainable and growth focused future in the region.
