LGMS at LGAQ Annual Conference 

LGMS was a proud sponsor at the recent LGAQ Annual Conference held in Mackay. Thanks to all who stopped by for a chat and to collect their conference back pack.

LGMS Chairman Ian Leckenby and Board Member Rachel Chambers addressed the conference and gave an update on the schemes performance, surplus distributions and the Mutual Risk Obligations Progam. Craig Hinchliffe from JLT Public Sector (scheme manager) also presented the awards to the winners of the Annual LGMS Risk Excellence Awards.

LGMS’ Nathan Turner (Divisional Manager, Member Services and Assets) took part in the Coastal Segment Panel at conference speaking to members about the challenging conditions currently in the insurance industry that are impacting insurance affordability and availability for councils. He also spoke about how the scheme is dealing with issues related to climate change.
